Jessica Morgan is in her second season as the head women's lacrosse coach at Howard University. A native of Baltimore, Md., Morgan played four years at the University of Virginia as a defender. She was named the National Player of the Year as a junior and helped UVA to an ACC championship that year. With Morgan's help, Virginia ranked sixth nationally in scoring defense and she later garnered All-American honors, one of four Cavaliers to receive that merit. A 2007 graduate, Morgan has one national championship and three ACC titles to her name and was voted the eighth best African-American lacrosse player of all time. In 2007, Morgan was among the 48 players named to the United States Elite and Developmental women's lacrosse teams.
