James Moses is entering his sixth season as a member of the coaching staff. Moses is no stranger to Howard and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program.

Responsibilities: Coaching the outside linebackers.

Playing Experience: High School: Orangeburg-Wilkinson; College: Howard University: 1987-89; All-MEAC first team selection in 1989 and second team in 1988. Played in the Freed Bowl in 1990. In 1989, Howard became the 1-AA champions in Scoring and Total Defense. Professional: Signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bears.

Coaching Experience: College: Served as an assistant coach under former S.C. State Head Coach Willie Jefferies for seven years and in 1993 The Bulldogs won MEAC and Black College National Championships. Also coached under former Delaware State coach Ben Blacknall from 2001-03. While at DSU, he coached the Hornets to the top of the conference in total defense. Moses is currently a member of the American Coaches Association.
