Terry Sims is entering his third season as special teams coach. Comes to Howard from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette where he served as a cornerback coach.

Responsibilities: Will coordinate the secondary and special teams. Sims will also be in charge of recruiting.

Playing Experience: Defensive back and team captain at Knoxville College, 1990-93. 

Coaching Experience: Graduate Assistant, Louisville 1995-96; Running back coach, Austin Peay 1997-99; Defensive back coach, Texas Southern 2000/Assistant Head Coach 2001-2003; Defensive back coach, Prairie View A&M 2004; Cornerback coach, University of Louisiana-Lafayette 2005-06.

Education: Bachelor's Degree, Knoxville '94; Master's Degree, Louisville '98.

Wife: Joyce.

Children:  Daughter (Sierra), Son (Xavier).
