WASHINGTON, D.C. - WR Willie Carter and DL James Carter were named to the Preseason All-MEAC Second Team, it was announced today.

The pair were also honored in Phil Steele's 2009 ACC & Big East Preview, along with DB Martin Corniffe. 

Steele named Willie Carter first team all-league while James Carter and Corniffe each garnered second team honors.

Willie Carter had 44 catches for 477 yards in 2008, six of which resulted in touchdowns.  James Carter had 16 tackles, 6.5 resulting in losses while Corniffe had 32 tackles, 3.0 for losses.
