Pough Receives Double Honors
NORFOLK, VA - Keith Pough has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week alomg with South Carolina State's David Erby and the College Football Performance Award National FCS Defensive Player of the Week. It marked the second straight week that he has been honored for the national award.
Pough, a 6-3, 235-pound red-shirt sophomore linebacker from Orangeburg, SC, collected 13 solo tackles, an assist, 5 tackles for losses and a pass defense in the Bison's 10-9 loss to Norfolk State this past Saturday.
A strong candidate for MEAC Defensive Player of the Year consideration and an all-American candidate, Pough leads the nation and the MEAC in tackles for losses with 26 in eight games. He is tied for 8th nationally in forced fumbles, 15th in sacks with 6.5 and 28th in total tackles (99).
He ranks second in the conference in sacks, total tackles and forced fumbles.
