WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – The Howard University football team reports to campus on Wednesday, Aug. 1 to kick-off the 2012 athletic season and prepare for pre-season football camp. 

Prior to the first day of camp on Friday, Aug. 3, the student-athletes will go through a two-day orientation with coaches, athletic staff and administrators.  Friday's practice attire will consist of shorts and helmets.

On Monday, Aug. 6, the HU football team will conduct its annual Media Day at Greene Stadium at 11:00 a.m. and commence to practice with full pads on Wednesday, Aug. 8.  All media outlets are encouraged and welcomed to attend, photographers and videographers are welcome to shoot stills and video. 

Howard, who is coming off a 5-6 2011 season, kicks off the 2012 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 for the AT&T Nation's Football Classic against the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse at 3:30 p.m. in RFK Stadium.
