Mukole Named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Junior forward Kandi Mukole (Brussels, Belgium/Greater Atlanta Adventist) was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Mukole averaged 9.5 rebounds, one block and one steal in two conference matchups last week for the Bison.  He pulled down nine boards against Coppin State and recorded 10 against North Carolina A&T along with two steals and one blocked shot.  Offensively he scored a total of 14 points, and was perfect from long range with 2-of-2 three-pointers against the Aggies.
