THE GAME: This is a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match-up between the Bison of Howard University and the Pirates of Hampton University.  The Bison (7-23 overall, 6-9 in the MEAC) are coming off a 66-68 overtime home loss to Maryland Eastern Shore this past Saturday.  The Pirates (12-17 overall, 6-8 in the MEAC) defeated Longwood, 95-81 at home in a non-conference game on Monday for their fourth straight win.

THE SERIES: Howard edged Hampton, 56-54 on December 5 in the Big Apple Classic at Madison Square Garden. This is the 30th meeting between the two schools and Hampton holds a 24-5 advantage.

THE COACHES:   The Bison are coached by Gil Jackson (Elizabethtown, '69), who is in his fifth season and has a 37-114 career record to date.  Hampton is coached by Ed Joyner (JC Smith, ‘95), who is in his first season with the Pirates.
