THE GAME: This is a non-conference match-up between the Bison of Howard University and the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State.  The Bison (1-9) are trying to recover from a 51-85 road loss to Loyola University on Saturday, December 19^th.  Despite the loss, Mike Philips earned MEAC Rookie of the week honors.  The Blue Raiders (4-6) are coming off an 83-58 win at home against SIU Edwardsville on Sunday, December 13th.  This is the first meeting between these two teams.

THE COACHES: Howard is coached by Gil Jackson (Elizabethtown, '69), who is in his fifth season and has a 31-102 career record.  Middle Tennessee State is coached by Kermit Davis (Mississippi ‘82), who is in his eighth season there with a career record of 122-102.
