Men's Basketball Inks De'Mon Brooks for 2010-11
WASHINGTON, D.C. - With the basketball season well underway and the Bison men's team currently tied for second place in the MEAC, the coaching staff has already begun planning for next year's team. High school senior De'Mon Brooks recently signed with the men's hoops team during the early signing period.
Brooks is a 6-7, 228 pound forward from Hopewell H.S. in Huntersville, North Carolina. Brooks averaged 13.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game last season with the Hopewell Titans. The Titans are currently 18-0 in 2009-10 and ranked number 1 in their division, number 2 in state and 125th in the nation. In addition to playing for his high school, Brooks plays for AAU team Phoenix Elite under Coach Carlton Anthony.
Brooks received 32 scholarship offers and made the decision to bring his 4.2 GPA here to Howard University and plans on majoring in Architectural Engineering in the fall.
