HOWARD MEN’S SOCCER HOSTS ITS FIRST OPPONENT ON WEDNESDAY

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – For their first home game of the season, the Howard University men's soccer team hosts the Flames of Liberty University on Wednesday, Sept. 12 in Washington, D.C., at Greene Stadium.

Last Time on the Field

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – During this week in Howard University men's soccer action, the Bison tallied one goal in a 1-3 loss to Towson on Wednesday, Sept. 5 and finished the week with a 0-1 loss to St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday, Sept. 6.

During Wednesday's contest sophomore Donny-Joshua Felix beat the Towson goalkeeper and attained an open-net goal to put HU on the scoreboard.

Defensively, goalkeeper sophomore Eric Hamilton amassed nine saves against Towson's 23 shot attempts.

On Friday at St. Francis (Pa.), the Bison defensive effort dominated despite the 1-0 loss. Hamilton finished the contest with 10 saves against 26 St. Francis shot attempts.

Felix, senior Kashmar Briscoe and sophomore Christopher Ingram each went for one shot attempt.

HU continues the season with a home-opener at 7:30 p.m. against Liberty on Wednesday, Sept. 12. Along with welcoming the HU men's soccer team to Greene Stadium for the first time this season, the mighty blue and white would like to thank its fans with "Fan Appreciate Night."
