Bison Drop Pair of Games at Buzz Tournament

Seton Hall 10, Howard 6 (Game One)
Western Kentucky 4, Howard 2 (Game Two) 

WOODSTOCK, GA. - Howard dropped a pair of games on the second day of the Buzz Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Bison lost to Seton Hall 10-6 in their first game of the day and then suffered a 4-2 setback at the hands of Western Kentucky in the second game.

Howard (1-7) held a 5-4 lead going into the seventh inning versus the Pirates, but Seton Hall exploded for six runs in the top of the inning.

Christine Sborz, Aisha Ledet and Ciera Gordon paced Howard in the loss with two hits apiece. Gordon added two runs and one RBI and Emily Johnson contributed a 1-for-2 outing with two runs.

Against Western Kentucky, the score was tied at 2-2 after five innings but the Hilltoppers plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth for the 4-2 lead. The Bison were held scoreless in the top of the seventh and Western Kentucky held on for the win.

Nicole Saez picked up two hits against the Hilltoppers. Brittany Stallworth, Trina Kindred and Rebecca Kirshner finished with one hit each. 

Howard will conclude tournament play on Sunday (March 7) against Winthrop at 1 p.m.
