Buckley ran 13.73 seconds after qualifying for the Trials as one of the few collegians in the field for the 100m hurdles. The Michigan native would have needed to finish in the top 24 to qualify for the quarterfinals, which were held later Saturday. The field of 28 runners was trimmed to 16 for Sunday's semifinals, with the final eight running in the final in prime time on Sunday night on NBC.
