LEWISBURG, PA. - Howard opened up its indoor track season at the Bison Opener, hosted by Bucknell, on Dec. 5-6 in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Lady Bison saw a pair of top-three finishes in the 60m hurdles. Landria Buckley won the event in 8.44 while Alexandria Lemonious took third in 8.89. Buckley went on to take second in the 200m dash in 25.33.

Lemonious also placed in the 60m dash, crossing the line in 8.05.

Sophomore Ashley Hodges was the runner up in the mile run (5:20.19) and Jami Hardy won bronze in 5:25.04. Tamila Myles (5:52.33) was ninth in the same event.

Hodges crossed the 3000m line in 10:50.87, good for fifth overall.

Lauren McNary won the 400m dash in 57.01. Janelle Wallace and Azalia King placed 14th and 18th, respectively.

Brittany Jackson (2:36.33) and Amelia Woodruff (2:51.67) saw action in the 800m run.

On the men's side, Carnegie Tirado got a top-10 finish in the 60m hurdles. Tirado took ninth in 8.55 with Marcus Harrington (8.77) and DeAndre Henderson (9.67) placing 13th and 16th, respectively.

Mikael LaRoche and Kimery Williams took 11th and 12th, respectively, in the 400m dash.

Lavernon Spivey led five Bison to top-10 finishes in 800m run. Spivey took third in 1:59.59 while Richard Williams (2:00.08) and Jerod Franklin (2:00.90) finished fourth and fifth. Daniel Kinney was sixth in 2:01.44 and Kendall Frost took seventh in 2:02.59.

Brandon Carter was eighth in the 200m dash in 23.22 while LaRoche (23.31), Tochi Odocha (23.40), Marcus Harrison (24.23) and Tirado (24.28) all seeing action in the event.

Benjamin Rosa placed 15th in the high jump (1.81m or 5'9").

Howard is off for a month, next returning to action on Jan. 10 at the Father Diamond Invite in Fairfax, Va.
