UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Jami Hardy took fifth in the 800m run and Ashley Hodges was the runner-up in the mile run at the Penn State National Open on Jan. 31 in University Park, Pa.

Hardy crossed the 800m line in 2:13.84 and Hodges finished her event in 5:02.43.

Lauren McNary had a good outing in the 400m dash and finished seventh in 54.76.

The Bison men got a third-place finish from Daniel Kinney in the 60m hurdles. The Michigan native crossed the line in 7.97. The 4x800m relay squad (Richard Williams, Lavernon Spivey, Thurman Sanders, Jerod Franklin) had a top-10 finishing after finishing sixth in 7:45.41.

Howard also competed at the Patriot Games at George Mason University. Benjamin Rosa was second in the high jump (2.00m) and later took third in the triple jump (13.24m). Vaughn Holland took fourth in the high jump after leaping 1.85m.

DeAndre Henderson and Marcus Harrison placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 60m hurdles and Tochi Odocha was fifth in the 60m dash (7.01). Odocha also took seventh in the 200m dash in 22.73.

Mikael LaRoche took fourth in the 400m dash (52.10) and teammate Tory McAlister was not too far behind with a fifth place finish in 52.12. Kimery Williams later took fifth in the 500m dash (1:07.73).

Janelle Wallace placed eighth for the Lady Bison in the 60m hurdles after crossing the line in 9.44.

Howard returns to action on Feb. 7 at the Black Colleges Track Classic in Landover, Md.
