HAMPTON, VA. - Thurman Sanders, Stephen Small-Warner and Daniel Kinney each had top-10 finishes in their respective events to pace the men's squad at the Hampton Invitational Jan. 23-24.

Sanders had a top-three finish in the 800m run. The senior crossed the line in 1:57.12, good for a third-place finish.

Small-Warner was fourth in the long jump (7.24m or 23'8") and Kinney took sixth in the 60m hurdles in 7.94.

Howard had a pair of top-10 finishers in the high jump in Tochi Odocha and Anthony Penny. The tandem finished tied for 10th after leaping 1.83m (6').

Richard Williams also took 10th in the 400m dash in 50.78.

The women's team got a top-five finish from a pair of its own in the 800m run. Jami Hardy took third in 2:16.36 and Ashley Hodges was not too far behind in 2:18.10.

Alexandria McKee jumped to a fifth-place finish in the high jump (1.58m or 5'2") while Alexandria Lemonious was seventh in the 60m hurdles in 8.83.

The 4x800m relay squad took third in 9:34.90.

Howard is back in action this weekend at the Penn State Open.
