Howard Shows Well at Reebok Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Howard track and field team showed well amongst the 30+ schools at the Reebok Raleigh Relays, hosted by N.C. State on March 27-28. Christopher Harrison qualified for the NCAA Regional Championship to highlight the weekend's action.

Harrison crossed the 400m dash  line in 46.91. The finish qualifies him for NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C. 

Brandon Carter had a top-8 finish in the 100m dash (10.74) and Thurman Sanders was ninth in the 1500m run in 4:01.63.

Daniel Kinney had a pair of top-5 finishes after placing fourth in the 110m hurdles (14.30) and fifth in the 400m hurdles (52.92).

Stephen Small-Warner won bronze in the men's long jump after leaping 7.22m. The men's 4x200m relay was ninth in 1:27.57 and the 4x800m squad took seventh after crossing the line in 7:36.75.

The women's squad saw a pair of top-5 finishes in the 800m run. Jami Hardy was fourth in 2:10.31 and Ashley Hodges placed fifth overall in 2:11.54.

Alexandria Lemonious was tenth in the 100m hurdles (14.15) and the 4x400m relay squad took seventh in 9:13.22.

Howard returns to action on April 3-4 at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va.
