Bison Compete at Lou Onesty InvitationalCHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - The Howard tracksters had a good showing at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational on Saturday at Lannigan Field. Tochi Odocha and Stephen Small-Warner had top eight finishes in the 100m dash. Odocha was seventh in 11.01 and Small-Warner was not far behind after finishing in 11.03. Christopher Harrison won bronze in the 200m dash (22.02) and Odocha was eighth in the same event in 22.14. Richard Williams took ninth in the 800m run (1:54.61) and Thurman Sanders was eighth in the 1500m run after finishing in 4:02.48. Daniel Kinney won both of his events. The Michigan native won the 110m hurdles in 14.62 and later took first in the 400m hurdles (53.48). Small-Warner was the highest collegiate finisher in the long jump. The sophomore placed second overall after leaping 6.91m (22'7"). Carnegie Tirado was 11th in the same event (6.08m or 19'9"). Tirado later jumped 13.10m (43'), en route to a sixth-place finish. Benjamin Rosa took seventh in the same event with a mark of 12.79m (42'). Senior Lauren McNary won the women's 400m dash in 54.16. Ashley Hodges followed that with a win in the 800m run (2:14.17) while Jami Hardy won bronze in the same event (2:14.83). Hodges took fourth in the 1500m run in 4:39.22. Alexandria Lemonious was fourth in the 100m hurdles (14.20) and Alexandria McKee was sixth in the high jump after leaping 1.55m (5'1"). The Bison return to action this weekend at Morgan State's Legacy Meet.
