Howard Women’s Volleyball Set to Open Season 

            For the first time in five years the Howard University Women’s Volleyball Team will open their season at home.  The Lady Bison will host Georgetown University at 7 p.m. on Wednesday August 31 in Burr Gymnasium.

           “I think it will be a good thing for us to open at home and I’m hoping that it will have a positive effect on the team for the rest of the season,” said head coach Linda Spencer.  “Our practices have been up and down, but I think we will be ready for our opening game.”

            The Lady Bison will host the Naval Academy on September 6 at 6 p.m. before hitting the road to participate on September 9-10 to participate in the Davidson Tournament.  The Lady Bison will not return home until September 20 when they open their Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference schedule versus the University of Maryland Eastern Shore at 7 p.m.
