Bison Sweep Alumni in Inaugural Game

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On September 27 at Burr Gymnasium, the Lady Bison volleyball team hosted the Lady Bison Alumni squad, a team composed of various players from past squads. In a fun matchup Coach Larracuente said, "Our young team did what they were supposed to do, win the match."

In a pre-game interview Larracuente expressed that he was in hopes of making this an annual event, "sort of like the old players passing the baton to the new generation".

Although, prior to this matchup, the team had travelled for four weeks straight between North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New York they still managed to sweep the Alumni Squad. The final scores were 25-15, 25-4, 25-17.

Coach Larracuente elaborated, "I had hope we could work on some things before getting into conference play, and I don't think we were able to accomplish that. It's time now for us to focus on conference play".
