Tamaya Daniels Named Defensive Player of the Week
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Center Tamaya Daniels (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham H.S.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today. This is the second time this season Daniels has garnered the honor. Daniels averaged 9.5 rebounds and one block to aid the Lady Bison to a 2-0 mark last week. Against South Carolina State, Daniels pulled down nine rebounds, blocked two shots and added one steal. Offensively, she tallied her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Morgan State. Daniels received the same honor on Feb. 2. Howard hosts Coppin State on Monday before hitting the road for a contest at North Carolina A&T on Feb. 28. |
