Tamaya Daniels Named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senior Tamaya Daniels (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham H.S.) was tabbed as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Daniels finished with 15 rebounds and averaged 3.0 blocks in two contests for the Lady Bison last week. She pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked four shots against league leaders North Carolina A&T.  Offensively, she added 21 points while shooting 60-percent from the field (9-of-15).

Howard hosts Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday at 2pm before facing off with Delaware State on Monday at 6pm.
