Saadia Doyle Named HSRN National Player of the Week

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman forward Saadia Doyle (Atlanta, Ga./Columbia H.S.) was tabbed as the Heritage Sports Radio Network's (HSRN) National Player of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday.

Doyle, who was also named the MEAC Rookie of the Week, averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds in two games for the Lady Bison last week. She had 32 points and 10 rebounds, her 13th double-double of the year, in a win over Maryland Eastern Shore and posted 10 points and 14 rebounds versus Bethune-Cookman.

The Georgia native won the weekly HSRN honor after receiving 2,649 votes.

Howard faces off with Winston-Salem State on Saturday in a non-league matchup at the C.E. Gaines Center. Game time is slated for 2 pm.
