HOWARD WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SWEEPS MEAC PRESEASON HONORS

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – The Howard University women's basketball team swept the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Honors on Thursday, Nov. 1 as senior Saadia Doyle attained her second consecutive MEAC Preseason Player of the Year accolade and the Lady Bison were voted to win the 2012-13 MEAC Title.

Alongside Doyle, fellow senior Tamoria Holmes was named to the Preseason All-MEAC First Team.

HU kicks off the season with four consecutive road games, beginning with a two-game swing in Pennsylvania.  On Friday, Nov. 9 the Lady Bison will take on Saint Francis (Pa.) at 7:00 p.m. in Loretta Pa., then on to the Nittany Lions of No. 8 Penn State on Sunday, Nov. 11 in State College, Pa.  The Lady Bison will then head to the "Windy City" for two days of hardwood action against DePaul on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Northwestern on Monday, Nov. 19.
