The Howard University women's lacrosse team dropped their season opener with an 18-9 decision to the Colonials of Robert Morris in Moon Township, Pa.

Courland Lackey paced the Bison with four goals, and six ground balls. Cynithia Smalls chipped in with three goals, while Jaymie Cox and Alyssa Paddock recorded a goal each. Jillian Parker picked up eight ground balls.

Goalie Ashley Foote made 18 saves on the afternoon.

HU Lacrosse is back in action on Feb. 15 against George Washington. The match is set for 3:30 p.m.
