Bison Play to 1-1 Draw

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Lady Bison (0-3-1) ended their fourth matchup of the season with a competitive 1-1 double overtime tie against the Wagner Seahawks (3-0-1).

The first half started off slow with Wagner managing just two shots, while Howard recorded one. In the 36th minute, Wagner's Kaitlyn Llewellyn kicked in a bullet putting the Seahawks on top 1-0.

The Bison entered the second period ready for battle. Jordan Brown found the foot of Owyn Manson and put the Bison on the scoreboard at the 54th minute. This season thus far, she has recorded three goals in a total of four games.

The remainder of the second period was relatively quiet. Neither team scored after two extra sessions, and the game ultimately ended in a draw.

Freshman goalie Kyra Dickinson – making her debut for the season – had an outstanding game, finishing with a total of seven saves. Dickinson had a stout appearance and wasn't afraid to sacrifice her body keeping the Bison in the game.

The Bison are back in action at home on Tues. Sept. 6 against Rider beginning at 7pm.
