HOWARD WOMEN’S SOCCER REMAINS IN WASHINGTON, D.C., TO BATTLE AMERICAN

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – After four days of rejuvenation and practice, the Howard University women's soccer team is ready to take on American on Friday, Sept. 14 at 4:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

Last Time on the Field

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – Howard University senior Retha Koeford attained her first goal of the season during a 2-1 loss to Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, Sept. 9 in Washington, D.C., at Greene Stadium.

Koeford put the Bison on the board during the last 15 minutes of play after being down 2-0 since the 39:32 mark of the first half when Mount St. Mary's Alicia Mirando scored a goal.

Mirando went on the score the second goal at the 40:24 mark of the second half for the 2-0 lead.

HU senior Jordan Brown assisted in the offensive effort with four shot attempts, sophomore goalkeeper Kyra Dickinson attained nine saves on two goals.

As a unit, the Lady Bison tallied 11 shot attempts and amassed three corner kicks.

HU closes out the month of Sept. in Washington, D.C., on Friday, Sept. 14 the Bison on American at 4:00 p.m. followed by George Washington on Friday, Sept. 21 at 4:00 p.m. and concludes with a 7:00 p.m. home contest against the Naval Academy on Monday, Sept. 4.
