HOWARD WOMEN’S SOCCER COUNTS DOWN TO THE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – With three contests remaining on the 2012 schedule, the Howard University women's soccer team draws closer to the Great West Conference tournament with their "Senior Night" and "Think Pink" matchup against Lincoln on Tuesday, Oct. 23, the final home game on Thursday, Oct. 25 against New Jersey Institute of Technology and the final regular-season game at Houston Baptist on Monday, Oct. 29.  All contests are at 7:00 p.m.

Lincoln "Lions"

  • Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7:00 p.m. (Senior Night | Think Pink)
  • The Lady Lions are 4-8 on the season
  • Lincoln, which is located in Lincoln University, Pa., is a Division II Institution

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) "Highlands"

  • Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
  • NJIT are 4-11-3 this season
  • The Highlands, which is located in Newark, N.J., are fellow Great West Conference opponents

Houston Baptist New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) "Huskies"

  • Monday, Oct. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
  • The Huskies are 8-6-3 this season
  • Houston Baptist, which is located in Houston, Texas, are fellow Great West Conference foes

Last Time on the Field

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – The Howard women's soccer team continued conference action with Great West opponent Delaware State on Sunday, Oct. 21 in Dover, Del. DSU defeated HU 1-0. 

Nia Walcott and Jordan Brown each tallied a shot attempt, while Kyra Dickson was 1-of-5 at the goal. 

As a unit, Howard went for four shots and one corner kick.
