WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – A second half scoring burst lead to a 2-1 victory over Houston Baptist on Sunday, Nov. 4 in Orem, Utah during the Great West Conference Soccer Tournament.  The win advances the Lady Bison to the championship game on Monday, Nov. 5 at 9:00 p.m. EST (7:00 p.m. DST) against No. 1 Utah Valley.

In order to advance to Monday action, HU defeated No. 3 New Jersey Institute of Technology 2-1 on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 4:00 p.m. and No. 2 Houston Baptist 2-1 on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4:00 p.m.

Against HBU, senior Jordan Brown and sophomore Treschelle Gibson-Serrette  once again led HU to success with one goal apiece.

A win Monday night would halt UVU's back-to-back GWC tournament championship dream.
