WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ashley Moore (Miami, Fla./Gulliver Prep) was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Thursday.

Moore lost to George Washington's Nadia Demidenko in three sets after battling back from a 6-2 loss in the first set. She followed with a win in the second set (6-2) before falling 1-0 (10-5) at the number one singles position.

Howard is back in action on Saturday against NJIT.
