VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Michele Gee was chosen as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tennis Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. Ashley Moore was named the Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Gee shutout Coppin State's Sharisse Coppin 6-0, 6-0 in a win at the number three singles position. Moore picked up her fifth individual win of the year with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Ana Sebescen at the number one singles position.

Howard is back in action on Friday against Hampton. Game time against the Lady Pirates is slated for 3 pm.
