WASHINGTON, D.C. - Howard continued its winning ways and held off Delaware State 3-2 (25-23, 15-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-10) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic volleyball contest Friday evening in Dover, Delaware.

With the win, the Bison improved to 8-13 (3-0 MEAC) while the Hornets fell to 7-9 (1-2 MEAC).

Gazelle d'Artois paced HU with a team-high 18 kills. Freshman Gabrielle Martin added 11 kills and Grace DeMichelis contributed a match-high 48 set-assists.

Sophomore Nicole Brown led the Bison in digs with 11 while classmate Keri Partridge finished with a season-high eight kills.

DSU got a match-high 20 kills from Cassandra Joyner. Erica Tajchman added 11 kills while Martina Ferrari and Sarah Wheatcroft added 26 and 15 assists, respectively.

Howard is back in action on Sunday when they host conference foe Hampton at 2 pm.
