Gabrielle Martin Named MEAC Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman Gabrielle Martin (Stockton, Calif./St. Mary's H.S.) was tabbed as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week, the league announced today.

Martin posted 60 kills and 37 digs in four sets during the Robert Morris Classic last week. The outside hitter collected two double-doubles including 13 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 victory over Elon.  She followed that performance with a career-high 25 kills and 13 digs against Saint Peter's.

Howard returns to action on Wednesday with a road contest against Navy at 6 pm.
