Gazelle d'Artois Garners All-Conference Honors

 

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Sophomore Gazelle d'Artois (Newhall, Calif./Hart H.S.) was named to the All-MEAC first team, the conference announced today.

D'Artois ranks in the top-10 in league play in kills (3.18 kps) and digs (2.34 dps) per set. The California native was named to three all-tournament teams and posted two 20 kill, 20 dig sets this season; a 20 kill, 20 dig performance versus Elon and a 21 kill, 20 dig set against St. Peter's.

Howard finished 7-3 in conference play this season, its best MEAC finish in seven years.

The 2008 MEAC Volleyball Championship begins Thursday, Nov. 13 at Holland Hall on the campus of Hampton University. The Lady Bison, who earned the number two seed in the north, will face off against Bethune-Cookman in the opening matchup at 3:30 pm.
