Hoyas Swing Past Bison

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Elyssa Lee, Gazelle d'Artois and Gabrielle Martin combined for 31 kills as Howard fell to cross-town rival Georgetown, 3-0 (25-23, 27-25, 25-20) in a non-conference volleyball matchup at McDonough Gym.

Lee led the way for the Bison with a double-double of 11 kills and 10 digs. The senior hit .200 in the entire match. d'Artois added 10 kills and nine digs while Martin contributed 10 kills with a .276 attack percentage.

Setter Grace DeMichelis had a good all-around game and chipped in 30 assists and seven digs to go along with one service ace and one kill.

Sara Manley paced the Hoyas with a match-high 14 kills. Jessica Hardy and Katherine Neisen added 11 kills apiece.

Howard (4-12) returns home on Wednesday to host American in a 7pm match at Burr Gymnasium.
