Gazelle d'Artois Wins Third MEAC Player of the Week Honor

 

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Junior outside hitter Gazelle d'Artois (Newhall, Calif./Hart H.S.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, the league announced today. It was third consecutive week that d'Artois has garnered the honor.

d'Artois recorded 51 kills while hitting 48-percent from the floor to aid the Lady Bison to a 2-1 mark last week including a 2-0 record in MEAC play. In a loss to Lafayette, the outside hitter posted a double-double of 19 kills and 17 digs. She tallied a 63-percent hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of Coppin State and followed that performance with 20 kills on 35 attacks in a win over Morgan State.

The Bison host Navy on Tuesday in non-conference matchup at Burr Gymnasium. First serve is slated for 6 p.m.
