Bison Have Strong Outing at Cappy Anderson Invite

PRINCESS ANNE, MD. - The Lady Bison placed sixth while the Bison men took fifth at the Cappy Anderson Invitational this past Saturday. The meet, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, saw a top-three finish from Lady Bison Ashley Hodges.

Hodges took third in 18:12.88 and was the top finisher for HU. Brittany Jackson crossed the line 19:57.61 while Jami Hardy finished in 20:02.52.

Tamila Myles (20:32.01) and Azalia King (21:46.11) also ran the course for Howard.

The men's side saw a top-20 finish from senior Thuman Sanders. Sanders took 16th in 27:07.82 while Richard Williams was not too far behind, crossing the finish line in 27:33.37.

Jerod Franklin ran the course in 28:14.23 and Michael Gallion completed 8K race in 28:19.57.

Howard returns to action on Sat., Sept. 27 at the William & Mary Inter-Regional Challenge in Williamsburg, Va.
