Dubrovnik, Croatia is the most popular beach destination in Europe. It’s located on the Adriatic Sea, along the southern coast of the Balkan Peninsula. Dubrovnik, Croatia has been named as one of the top 10 places to visit in the world.
But if you’re planning to visit Dubrovnik, Croatia, you should know where the best beaches are.
Sveti Jakov Beach
Sveti Jakov Beach is the biggest and most popular beach in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
It is a white sandy beach that has a view of the Old City of Dubrovnik.
Sveti Jakov Beach is a beach on the island of Lokrum.
You can easily reach Sveti Jakov Beach by taking a ferry boat from Dubrovnik city center.
Šulići Bay Beach
This is one of my favorite beaches in Dubrovnik, Croatia. I have visited it many times, and it never gets boring.
The beach is about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) from Dubrovnik, and there are several ways of getting there. The easiest way is to take a bus or rent a bike.
However, I prefer to hike up there. It takes about an hour to walk, but the walk is beautiful, and there are a lot of good things to see along the way.
When I’m walking up the mountain, I usually stop at a small restaurant called “Konoba Kajkavac.” This is a local establishment where you can eat traditional Croatian food.
You’ll find the restaurant near the top of the mountain. If you’re planning on hiking up there, I suggest you arrive before sunset. The sun will set soon, and you’ll have to head back down the mountain.
If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of the sunset.
Banje Beach
Banje Beach is a beach on the outskirts of Dubrovnik, Croatia. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing break from the bustling city.
Banje Beach has the cleanest and least crowded water that I’ve seen on any beach in Dubrovnik. The water is always crystal clear and the sand is so white, it’s almost blinding.
The beach is also very well maintained. There are no signs of litter, graffiti, or other disarray. You can walk along the entire beach without ever stepping on a cigarette butt, piece of trash, or dog turd.
While it’s relatively isolated, Banje Beach is easily accessible. You can reach the beach by taking a bus or taxi. There are also plenty of free buses that run between Dubrovnik and the beach.
Buža Beach
Buža is a beach on the south-eastern side of Dubrovnik. It’s also the location of the famous Buža vineyards.
The beach is long and wide, with a beautiful view of the Old City. It’s a very popular beach because it’s so close to the Old Town.
Lokrum
Dubrovnik’s Lokrum Island is the closest to the mainland. It’s a small island with two beaches, one being more accessible than the other.
While both beaches are beautiful, the one on the south side is more accessible and suitable for families. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, and the water is crystal clear.
But if you’re looking for something more secluded, the beach on the north side is probably better for you.
The beach is more secluded, with fewer hotels and restaurants. You’ll also find a lot of greenery on the northern side.
Veliki žal
My favorite beach in Dubrovnik is Veliki žal, or Big Salt Lake. This beach has a massive saltwater lake, which has a beautiful view.
I’ve been to Veliki žal a few times, and it’s a very popular tourist destination. But, even though it’s visited by thousands of tourists every year, it’s still peaceful.
I love how the water is so clear, and you can see the bottom and sand. This makes it a very relaxing place to sit.
There are no other buildings or crowds on the beach. The only way to reach the beach is by walking or biking, or you can take a boat.
Šunj Beach
This is one of the best beaches in Croatia. It’s on the southern coast, and the water is clean and warm.
This beach is a must-see for any traveler, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy swimming in the clear waters and watching the sun set behind the cliffs.
Pasjača Beach
Pasjača is a beach located on the eastern side of Dubrovnik. The name comes from the word “pas,” meaning “pass,” which refers to the narrow pass that connects the city of Dubrovnik to the mainland.
Pasjača is the most famous beach in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It’s a wide sandy beach with crystal clear water. It’s a great place for swimming and snorkeling. There are also lots of restaurants and bars nearby.
I’ve found that Pasjača is the perfect place for sunset watching. It’s also the best place to see the locals playing volleyball and soccer.
