One of the most common treatments to reduce uric acid levels in the blood is to avoid eating foods rich in purines and follow a diet based on products that do not help increase purine levels in the body.
In this sense, the foods that we should avoid if we have high levels of uric acid are meat, meat extracts, yeast, or yeast extracts, such as beer or alcoholic beverages. It is also key to limit the intake of shellfish, asparagus, spinach, peas, lentils, cauliflower or mushrooms.
In addition, experts recommend not drinking caffeine or alcohol if you have high levels of uric acid, as they are elements that can be counterproductive in this regard.
