Espidifen is one of the drugs most popular and sold in Spain , Characteristic for containing the active principle of ibuprofen (arginine). It is a medication officially approved by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS).
Thus, this medicine is part of the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), used especially as a treatment for certain health conditions.
Specifically, Espidifen is a drug indicated for adults and adolescents over 14 years as a treatment for fever and pain of moderate intensity from different causes.

Contraindications of Spidifen

Due to this, from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products ( AEMPS ) they expose a series of circumstances and situations in which Espidifen should not be taken as a medicine:

- If you have severe liver or kidney disease.
- In case of vomiting blood or black stools.
- If you have had a stomach ulcer or bleeding.
- If you have suffered a perforation of the digestive system.
- In case of active bleeding.
- If you have bleeding or blood clotting disorders.
- In case of severe heart failure.
- If you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.
- In case of severe dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting or insufficient fluid intake.
How to take the medicine safely
To take Espidifen safely it is necessary to follow the administration instructions indicated by your doctor, as well as the guidelines set out in the leaflet of the medication itself. In case of any doubt, consult your doctor.
The AEMPS recommends not suspending treatment before the time indicated by your doctor, as it could interfere with the expected results. Likewise, it is not advisable to extend the treatment longer than the scheduled time.

Thus, the usual dose in adults and adolescents older than 14 years is 600 mg of ibuprofen over a 6 to 8 hour range, depending on severity of the health condition and the response of treatment with this medicine to it.
Your doctor will have the power to increase the dose to take depending on the patient's situation. However, the AEMPS explains that in any case the maximum daily dose of Espidifen should not exceed 2. 400 ibuprofen mg in adults and 1. 600 mg in adolescents of 14 to 18 years.
