Eat lighter
You should also adapt your diet to the hot days. Several small, light meals spread throughout the day are ideal for hot weather. For example, vegetable pans, salads or simply a little fruit for in-between meals are suitable – also good for a sustainable, healthy lunch break to enjoy 22Bet login.
Water-rich fruits are particularly recommended. Cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, peaches or strawberries, for example, are ideal – these are not only water-rich, but also seasonal. It is better to avoid foods that are difficult to digest and also less sustainable, such as sausage platters. For seasonal fruits and vegetables, check out Utopia’s seasonal calendar.
Go to cool places in the heat
Adapt your daily routine to the heat, if possible. For example, get up earlier and work when it is still cool. If you can, stay indoors in the cool at midday and limit outdoor activities to the morning and evening hours.
Short lukewarm showers can be refreshing – they are also better for the climate than hot ones. If you don’t have the opportunity to do this, it can help to run cool water over your wrists or apply a cool compress to your forehead or neck. Water sprays also have a cooling effect, but they also produce a lot of waste. A refillable spray bottle is much more environmentally friendly.
Protect yourself against heat
If you are unable to stay in a cool room during the heat, at least stay in the shade and avoid direct sunlight – see also: Avoiding sunburn. Wear light and non-restrictive cotton clothing in light colors.
